Due at Time of Registration
At the time of registration, all LRE registrants are responsible for the LRE programming fee and a deposit toward room and board. These fees can be paid together in a single check to the LRE conference (the conference then pays the island for the room/board deposit).
LRE Program Fee
This fee goes to our conference, and goes toward the cost of our week-long programming for all ages.
Ages 6+: $175 per person
Under age 6: $100 per child
Families with more than two people:
- Pay the full $175 each for the first two people in the family
- Pay a reduced $150 for the third person in the family
- Pay only $100 per person for any additional family members, and of course for any children under age 6
Room and Board Deposit
Ages 6+: $200 per person
Under age 6: Free
Room and Board
The room and board fee goes to the island. It covers housing, all meals and round-trip ferry transportation. In an effort to be family friendly, there is no room and board charge for children under six years of age.
Note: A full-week parking fee of $80 per car will be listed separately in your final charges for the island.
The following are full-week rates, per person. For more information about joining us for part of the week only, please contact the LRE Conference Registrar.
Adult Room & Board Rates (18+)
- Triple: $772
- Double: $815
- Single: $1040
- Motel double: $981
- Motel single: $1420

- Under 6: $0
- 6-11 Years: $495
- 12-17 Years: $660

 Financial Assistance
There are a number of opportunities to gain financial assistance for attending Star LRE:

The Star Island Corporation has funds available to help conferees attend LRE 2012. Please apply here first.

- Star Island 10-10 Bring a Friend Discount
Do you know someone who might like LRE? This is the summer to introduce a friend to our conference. If you bring a newcomer, they will get a 10% discount – and so will you! In fact, you can receive as much as 50% off your room and board (for bringing five newcomers for a conference). Discounts are applied to room and board bills, on island.
Please note: You are encouraged to accept scholarships from only one source (LRE or Star Island), so that the available funding may assist as many people as possible. |
